Hi - yesterday I purchased the 2018 online upgrade for MAC to upgrade my 2015 version. For some reason, the 2018 version cannot be 'loaded' on my MacBook now. The error message states that my OS X version needs to be updated. Apple has not released this update yet. This seems weird that Quicken would allow you to purchase an upgrade while this Apple release is delayed. Can you assist? I can't get anyone from Quicken directly to assist....

What version of the MacOS are you running? Version 2018 can only be installed on systems with El Capitan (11.0) and higher..
Please let us know so that we can best help you.

- edited April 2018Hi John. Apple's latest version of the OS is 10.13.2, which is High Sierra.
You can download El Capitan from the following link: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/54770/apple-os-x-el-capitan

Here is the Apple page where you can check if your current Mac can run El Capitan or later versions of MacOS. I would download it directly from Apple rather than a third party site for safety:

I don't think it's any different than any other software. If you are not running the current version of the OS, you should be used to checking that any new software will run on your version. A quicken Google search for 'quicken system requirements mac' turns up the same link that Harold provided as the first no-advertisement hit.Hi John.

You are four versions behind in your macOS operating system. - edited July 2018I have been trying for days to upload the 2018 Quicken for MAC on my MacBook Pro which has High Sierra. I have Quicken for MAC 2017 currently. On the sign-in screen (which asks for my Quicken ID), my old email address appears. When I try to sign in with my current email address, the screen closes and my computer completely shuts down and then restarts. I called Quicken about this and they told me to contact Apple. This has happened about 6 times and I am out of ideas. I looked at the login and password information on my keychain, and have only my current email. (Quicken tried to tell me the computer must have the old email for Quicken for it to pop up on that sign-in screen). Any help/ideas will be greatly appreciated.
- edited July 2018Let's try this:
Startup in Safe Mode and see if it still crashes.
Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support
You can also try deleting very item having to do with Quicken from your Keychains. Worst case: you will have to reenter some stuff.
Can you post a screenshot of the sign in screen you are seeing just before the crash?
